Our Story
Our Journey to Faith-Based, First-Generation Farming
We always dreamed of farming full time, but as first-generation farmers, we werenโt sure if that dream would ever become reality. With prayer, persistence, and hard work, we trusted the Lord to guide our path. In 2016, that dream came true when we purchased our family farm in Fair Grove, Missouri from dear friends after years of watching and waiting for the right opportunity.
Those first years were a whirlwind. We dove into farming with full hearts and open hands, leaning on the promises of Psalm 37 and Matthew 6. Through every challenge and change, God has been faithfulโgrowing our farm, and more importantly, growing our faith.
Meet the Thrasher Family
We are a first-generation farm family, but this way of life is nothing new to us.
Raised in North Missouri, Cambre spent his early years in the barns of his dadโs sow unit, caring for livestock on his grandpaโs farm, and even managing his own sow herd as a high school FFA project. Both Cambre and Chelsea later worked on the college hog farm at the College of the Ozarks, where they continued to grow their knowledge and passion for agriculture.
Cambre went on to further build his experience in hog farming while working as a field representative for pork producers across Missouri and Arkansas.
The years of hands-on experience and education have shaped not only what we do, but how and why we do itโguiding the values that define our farm today.

Keeping it Local
From working with local feed mills and grain farmers to partnering with nearby meat processors, every step of our process is rooted close to home. These arenโt just business relationshipsโtheyโre people we know, families we respect, and neighbors who care about doing things the right way.
When you buy from our farm, youโre doing more than purchasing meatโyouโre investing in Missouri families, small businesses, and a network of people who take pride in their role from pasture to plate. Youโre helping keep dollars in our local economy and supporting a way of life thatโs rooted in stewardship, integrity, and care for both people and land.
Itโs something weโre proud to be part ofโand grateful to
share with you.
